Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inform new hires about their positions and respond to any inquiries they may have regarding duties 

  • Assist newly hired employees with the necessary onboarding documentation (i.e., contracts, I-9, W-4), ensuring that documentation is accurately and quickly completed, while answering any questions regarding the documentation 

  • Ensure all collected documentation is stored correctly 

  • Work with IT to make sure new hires have the necessary equipment on their first day 

  • Inform new hires what their first tasks are (e.g., activation of accounts) 

  • Distribute instructions, rules, and passwords needed for systems required to tasks of their position (payroll and staffing systems) 

  • Provide information about corporate rules and processes (employee handbook), as well as training resources 

  • Describe any firm benefits programs, such as retirement plans and health insurance 

  • Organize orientations, meet-and-greets with employees, and training sessions for new hires during their first few days at work 

  • Assist new hires in becoming familiar with the company’s culture and mission 

  • Prepare welcome packs with items like mugs, T-shirts, etc. 

  • Greet new employees and show them around the workplace. 

  • Welcome new hires formally, as team members, through “welcome new hires” emails 

  • Check-in with new hires regularly to see how they’re settling into their new roles

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook 

  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented individual
